Hi, 30!

It all happened very fast. From taking the first steps to saying the first words… growing up happens very fast. Teenage years are tough, but at least a lot of it was in sync. The same thing was happening to everyone around. The society didn’t say a lot because you were protected under your parents’ wings. And someday we all had those fully developed beautiful wings which we could not wait to use. The more we tried to fly, the more we realized we are out of sync. When I look back, I could map this to the beginning of my 20s. When the first college degree was over. We fell out of sync. Everyone went on to do different things. To study more. To train inside the corporate world. To start a family. We all did different things and the society judged us along the way. We said we are strong. We are educated. So what the society says does not matter. But did it really not? The days when life was tough, others opinions did creep in. Don’t be ashamed. I felt out of sync too. When others were earning money, I slumped into an education debt. And when others were ready to settle down, I ruined my mental health due to imposter syndrome. And when everyone was wonderfully enjoying parenthood, I successfully earned a new title. I didn’t know where my 20s went. How the days passed by. And now as people are set in a family and work routine, I am enjoying being in love!

The twenties were great. It showed me everything that I’ve been capable of bearing, enduring and achieving. Tonight, the last day of 29, I am going to bed with the biggest smile on my face. I can’t wait for the 30s!
